Things I hold onto, and those I choose to let go of, define who I am as a person. a This discernment is an important part of my work process as I make decisions
regarding what I feel is necessary and what isn't. In the end what is let
go of defines the piece as much as what remains.

Drawing is an important part of my work process. The act of putting pencil to surface and allowing it to flow
as freely from judgment as am able to muster is where I make discoveries and fresh ideas develop. Within this space I have created an on-going series of portraits on small wooden panels averaging 4"x6" in size.
